Summary: The book of Nehemiah is a wonderful story of how to handle opposition and discouragement when you are seeking to serve the Lord. Nehemiah was a cupbearer for the king of Persia. After hearing about the danger the city of Jerusalem was in, he returned there and, despite local opposition, completed reconstruction of the walls and gates of the city in fifty-two days.
