Discuss the figure above and write your observations in the box below.

Today we finish the course with lesson 12, studying three aspects of belonging to the church:
- Stewardship and giving
- Being a witness to the world
- Reaching the ends of the world
A famous verse in the Bible regarding reaching the whole world is Jesus’ promises in Acts 1:8. Open your Bibles and read with us, filling in the blanks.
But you will receive
REVEAL ANSWER when the  REVEAL ANSWER comes on  REVEAL ANSWER ; and you will be  REVEAL ANSWER in  REVEAL ANSWER , and in all  REVEAL ANSWER and  REVEAL ANSWER , and to  REVEAL ANSWER .Question 2
What are Jesus’ promises in this verse? What is Jesus doing next (verse 9)? And which promise was given to the disciples and to us in verse 11?

Stewardship
In the New Testament times, being a Christian affected people’s attitude to money right from the start.
Read Acts 2:45
Read Acts 4:33-35
Our giving is part of our worship to God.
Read Deuteronomy 16:16-17
Where do you give to God
Biblical giving is directed in two ways:
(1) Church (1 Corinthians 9:7-11, 14 and 1 Tomothy 5:17-19)
(2) Church members in need (Acts 4:34-35, Romans 15:26)
Question 3
Most of times the church is meant to be the local church. What is your understanding of the church?

When and how much do you give to God
You salvation is free and all of God’s grace. All you own and earn belongs to God. Our giving must be a free will offering of thanksgiving to God.
In 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 we read 1 Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
Tithing is giving 10% of our income, according to Old Testament guidelines (Genesis 14:18-20).
Question 4
Church health is partly depending on financial health. What is your understanding? Are you obedient to biblical guidelines in giving?

How do you give to God, attitude
In 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 we read 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows
REVEAL ANSWER will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a  REVEAL ANSWER . 8 And God is able to  REVEAL ANSWER you  REVEAL ANSWER , so that in all things at all times,  REVEAL ANSWER , you will abound in every good work. There are many more Scriptures that affirm this giving attitude.Question 5
What is your experience in your financial giving for the Lord’s ministry?

You will be my witnesses
In Mark 5:18-20 we read 18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.Question 6
Decapolis means ten cities. What has the Lord done for you? Do you tell others in many places, as a witness, what God has done for you?

Jesus was a friend of sinners. Not because He loved their sin, but because He loved them (Matthew 11:19).Question 7
Do you reach out to unbelievers with the good news (speaking) and helping (good deeds), as Jesus did?

To the ends of the earth
God always had a definite goal - to win a people for His Son from all the nations of the world (Isaiah 52:10).
Jesus knew He wasn’t on the planet merely to reach a few individuals. He was here to win the world, whatever it cost Him. Jesus wanted His disciples to catch this vision (Acts 1:8).
On resurrection day Jesus opened the eyes of the men walking with His on the Road to Emmaus. He said (Luke 24:46-49) This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all
REVEAL ANSWER , beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are  REVEAL ANSWER of these things. 49 I am going to  REVEAL ANSWER you what my Father has promised; but  REVEAL ANSWER in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.Question 8
Which verses are cited prophecy? In which name should be preached, and to whom?

Question 9
Which verse is talking about current time, Resurrection Day? Is witnessing hearing? Or hearing and seeing?

Question 10
In verse 49 we read the mission statement (that later was decreed, see Matthew 28:18-20). Was it about sending to the mission field or staying? And why staying before going to the mission field?

Once the disciples had received the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Day, there was no way stopping them. Within 30 years all the known world heard the Gospel. Their hearts were burning with a passion to reach the nations for Jesus.
Question 11
Is your heart burning? Do you join the global team to change the world?

Conclusion
